Abstrak

Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui kondisi peta publikasi rentang tahun 2020-2025 terkait dengan metode pembelajaran sains sebagai pendidikan karakter khususnya artikel yang dipublikasikan pada jurnal dengan indeksasi Scopus, Crossref  dan Google Schoolar. Fokus pertanyaan penelitian sebagai berikut (1). Bagaimana metode pembelajaran sains sebagai pendidikan karakter dilihat dari peta publikasi? (2). Apa yang menarik bagi akademisi terkait dengan metode pembelajaran sains sebagai pendidikan karakter?. (3). Topik apa saja yang sering ditulis menjadi publikasi terkait dengan metode pembelajaran sains sebagai pendidikan karakter ?. Penelitian ini menganalisis 1101 artikel dengan kata kunci “education methods, science education, character education”. Identifikasi area tematik menggunakan analisis kata kunci. Proses analisis dan visualisasi menggunakan Publish or Perish dan VOSviewer. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode pembelajaran sains sebagai pendidikan karakter menjadi tren pada 5 tahun terakhir. Pada bagian visualisasi kata kunci menyajikan 8 klaster, yaitu (1) institution; (2) technology; (3) management; (4) local wisdom; (5) outcome; (6) covid; (7) student Character, dan (8) child. Analisis pemetaan menggunakan bibliometrik dapat memberikan informasi terkait dengan pola perkembangan publikasi pada bidang metode pembelajaran pendidikan sains untuk pendidikan karakter. Hasil temuan ini menjadi landasan berharga untuk penelitian dimasa selanjutnya: 1) Perlunya penelitian secara holistik dan mendalam terkait dengan STEAM pada pembelajaran sains; dan 2) Perlunya penelitian berfokus pada bidang yang masih jarang dikaji seperti: (1) integrating character education; (2) blended learning; dan (3) local wisdom.
