Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effect of partial substitution of cement with calcium chloride (CaCl2) on the compressive strength of concrete with a 1:2:3 mix ratio. The method used was experimental, varying the CaCl2 dosage as a cement replacement and testing the compressive strength of concrete cubes at 28 days. The test results indicate that CaCl2 addition significantly impacts performance. The optimal compressive strength increase (16,24) occurred at a 1,0% replacement dosage by cement weight, reaching 274,30 kg/cm2 from the control 236,00 kg/cm2. These findings confirm that CaCl2 at a 1,0% dosage can optimize concrete compressive strength. However, it should be noted that SNI 2847:2019 states that the use of CaCl2 carries a risk of corrosion in reinforced concrete
