Abstract

Education is the largest field of investment in building and shaping men (insanul kamil). Education touches are believed capable of forming a human resources civilized and qualified. The family as an educational institution first and foremost for children, has a considerable role in realizing these ideals. Error interactions within families due to less optimal family members in carrying out their roles and functions of each can give rise to various problems in the family. This study used qualitative research methods. This type of research is a literature review of several journals and books that the author got from the internet. The purpose of this study is to examine the education of children in the family through books and journals and theses which are downloaded on the internet, namely Google Scholar, Garuda Ristekbrin, Sciencedirect and others. The conclusion of this study is that parents have an important role in education both in Islamic and nonIslamic societies because the family is the first place for the growth and development of children where he gets influence from other family members. This is where the family has a very important role in shaping the character of children in the future.
