Abstract

Irrigation Area (D.I) Pekatingan Weir which utilizes a reservoir of 1203 Ha. This research is based on the availability of weir discharge for irrigation water needs, so it is necessary to regulate the delivery system and optimal water regulation. This study took the location of the Pekatingan Weir Irrigation Area which includes Kulon Pekatingan and Wetan Pekatingan. Pekatingan weir is a building to regulate the distribution of water in the Pekatingan Kulon and Pekatingan Wetan irrigation areas located in Need Village, Need District, Purworejo Regency, Central Java. The problem that will be discussed in this research and evaluation is how to know the amount of relevant water needs for irrigation areas throughout the Pekatingan Weir Irrigation Area by manual calculation (kp-01). Based on field data analysis from the Pekatingan Irrigation Area in the Pekatingan Irrigation Network, Need Subdistrict, Purworejo Regency. And for the object of research, namely the Pekatingan Irrigation Channel, starting from February _ July, the water flow that flows in the Pekatingan Irrigation Channel tends to be stable because between the intik discharge and the trasier discharge, the water loss does not occur too large a difference, so that the plant's water needs are still being met. During the research, the largest percentage of water discharge loss occurred in April 2021 period I, namely 18.93%, while the efficiency was 81.17% and the smallest percentage of water discharge loss occurred in March 2021 period II, namely 0% while the efficiency was 100%. Losses that occur are caused by various factors including evaporation, percolation of water taps, damage to weirs in irrigation canals. This causes the efficiency of water use cannot be maximized.
