Abstract

Abstract: This study examines the integration of Emotional Intelligence (EI) into the love-based curriculum at RA Qurrota A’yun and its impact on children's well-being. The purpose of the study is to understand how learning activities that foster empathy, affection, and self-awareness can enhance children's emotional and social well-being. The method used is a qualitative case study with data collection techniques including participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted thematically to explore the meaning of the curriculum implementation process and outcomes. The results show that EI integration can increase children's happiness, sense of security, and positive social relationships, thus significantly improving children's well-being. The program's success is strongly influenced by a loving, collaborative school atmosphere that actively involves teachers and parents. This study confirms Daniel Goleman's (1995) theory of five important EI components for children's well-being as well as Ryan & Deci's (2017) theory emphasizing basic psychological needs such as safety and social connection. It is suggested that teacher training be strengthened, more systematic curriculum guidelines be developed, and parental involvement be enhanced to support children's EI development for the program to run effectively and sustainably.
