Abstract

Cognitive abilities are skills that refer to a child's capacity to complete any task. Therefore, it is very important to develop children's cognitive abilities from an early age so that children are able to learn, think critically and solve problems. So that in the future children will be able to explore the world and its surroundings. The aim of this research is to determine the cognitive development strategies of early childhood at Sokanegara Kindergarten. This field research uses qualitative methods with a descriptive approach. Research on early childhood cognitive development strategies was carried out at Sokanegara Kindergarten with six teachers. The stages in this research began with preparation, implementation and data processing. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation techniques. The data analysis used begins with reduction, analysis and drawing conclusions. The results of this research are the strategies used by teachers to develop the cognitive abilities of young children at the Sokanegara Kindergarten institution through learning activities using loose parts media
