Abstract

This article reports a Vegetable Processing and Health Website Access Tutorial program carried out by students of the Community Service Program (KKN) Group 12 of Universitas Ma'arif Nahdlatul Ulama (UMNU) Kebumen in Lubang Indangan Village, Butuh Subdistrict, Purworejo Regency. The program responded to two related concerns: the underuse of home-garden vegetables as nutritious food, and the low digital health literacy among residents, particularly members of the Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) group, in independently accessing health information. The program combined nutrition education with hands-on training in accessing a village health information website that the KKN students built and made reachable through QR-code scanning. Held on Wednesday, 5 August 2026, at the Lubang Indangan Village Hall, the activity drew 40 participants consisting of PKK members and residents. Data were gathered through participatory observation, documentation, and participants' verbal feedback, then analyzed thematically within a descriptive qualitative approach. Findings show that participants' understanding of healthy vegetable processing improved, and most were able to access the village health website via QR code, although several elderly participants still needed direct assistance. The program suggests that pairing locally grounded nutrition education with digital health literacy offers a realistic path toward household-level health information independence and, more broadly, a better quality of life for villagers
